Vintner Dinner at Counter-

Charlotte Wine + Food Week presented by Truist kicked off with a sold-out vintner dinner at Counter- featuring the wines of Vin Fraîche Wine Group. Guests enjoyed 8 mini-courses in the style Counter- is known for, taking them on a tasting journey with Michael Kennedy - Founder of Vin Fraîche Wine Group. Chef Sam Hart, proprietor of Counter-, and his team created a custom menu to pair with the wines.

Featured wines included the 2021 Component ‘Farfalla Vineyard’ Sauvignon Blanc, 2021 Component ‘Monte Rosso Vineyard’ Sémillon, 2021 Gagnon-Kennedy Vineyards ‘Monte Rosso Vineyard’ Zinfandel, 2020 Gagnon-Kennedy Vineyards ‘Monte Rosso Vineyard’ Cabernet Sauvignon, 2019 Gagnon-Kennedy Vineyards Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Cabernet Sauvignon, 2019 Gagnon-Kennedy Vineyards Napa Valley Cuveé, 2020 Component Bordeaux ‘Des Romains’ Cabernet Franc, and 2020 Component Bordeaux ‘La Colline’ Merlot.

During the event, Chef Sam Hart auctioned off a surprise auction lot to cook in a patron’s home netting over $20,000 for our charities.

All proceeds benefited A Child’s Place, Augustine Literacy Project, GenOne, and The Learning Collaborative.
