Private Vintner Dinner at Drift on Lake Wylie

Charlotte Wine + Food Board Member Jeff Conway, and his wife, Paula, Board Member Dr. Steve Hannon, and his wife, Suzy, and Board Member Dr. Daniel Ness , and his wife, Laurie, hosted an invite-only charity vintner dinner featuring Pahlmeyer Winery. Guests enjoyed a multi-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Rogger Torres of Drift on Lake Wylie. Special Guests included Shea Gottshall, Portfolio Consultant at LUX Wines, and Jonathon Lee, Senior Luxury Business Development Manager at LUX Wines.

The evening included a silent and live auction led by local community leader Jim Cookson, raising over $30,000. Thank you to our generous donors including Drift on Lake Wylie, Total Wine & More, Dr. Stephen & Suzy Hannon, a patron of Thompson Child & Family Focus, Piedmont Plastic Surgery & Dermatology, Hannon Orthodontics, LUX Wines, Dr. Daniel & Laurie Ness, Dr. Larry Napolitano, and Chef Charlie Reid of Crafted Plate and LUX Wines.

Featured wines at the dinner included the 2022 Jayson by Pahlmeyer Sauvignon Blanc, 2020 Jayson by Pahlmeyer Chardonnay, 2019 Jayson by Pahlmeyer Pinot Noir, 2019 Pahlmeyer Merlot, and 2019 Pahlmeyer Proprietary Red.

Guests made a special toast with J. Vineyards Brut Rosé in celebration of CW+F Board Member Dr. Daniel Ness’ retirement.

All proceeds benefited A Child’s Place, Augustine Literacy Project, GenOne, and The Learning Collaborative.
