1000-Point Tasting + Winemaker Honoree Dinner
featuring Dr. Laura Catena of Bodega Catena Zapata | April 30, 2022

Charlotte Wine + Week presented by Truist hosted a 1000-Point Tasting + 2022 Winemaker Honoree Dinner, limited to 80 very lucky guests, held at The Innovation Barn, Charlotte’s new incubator for sustainable businesses. The experience started with a tasting of ten 100-point-rated wines moderated by the Week’s 2022 Winemaker Honoree - Managing Director at Bodega Catena Zapata, Laura Catena, along with co-host Wine Enthusiast Editor, Lauren Mowery. Following the tasting, the festivities moved outdoors under a tent with a charming view of uptown Charlotte for a multi-course dinner inspired by Argentine Asados created by Chef Eric Ferguson and Cat Carter of L’Ostrica paired with the best of Bodega Catena Zapata wines. Two spirited live auctions took place featuring some of the top wine and experience lots of CW+F Week raising over $50,000 for local children’s charities. The highest-raising lot was a once-in-a-lifetime VIP trip to Mendoza, Argentina with Catena thanks to Laura!
