Buona Notte | Charlotte Wine + Food Week Closing Night Dinner at Restaurant Constance ft. Banfi Vintners | April 21, 2024

Charlotte Wine + Food Week presented by Truist held a special closing dinner celebration where we transported palates to Italy! We bid a “Buona Notte” to our week-long fundraising experience as guests dined on dishes that paid hommage to Chef Sam Diminich’s Italian-American upbringing at Restaurant Constance. The menu paired perfectly with a selection of stunning Italian wines courtesy of Banfi Vintners. Banfi Vintners is the sole U.S. importer of the Mariani family’s internationally renowned wine estates in Italy — Castello Banfi of Montalcino, Tuscany, and Banfi Piemonte of Strevi, Piedmont.

The special guest was McKenzie Schmitt, WSET III | CSW | CS, District Manager NC / SC at Banfi Vintners.

Featured wines included the Banfi Brut Metodo Tradizionale Classico NV, 2021 Castello Banfi Magna Cum Laude IGT Toscana Super Tuscan, 2018 Castello Banfi SummuS IGT Toscana Super Tuscan, 2019 Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 2016 Castello Banfi Poggio alle Mura Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva, and 2021 Banfi Rosa Regale Rosé Brachetto d’Acqui DOCG.

All proceeds benefited A Child’s Place, Augustine Literacy Project, GenOne, and The Learning Collaborative.
