Chairman’s Cellar Dinner | May 19, 2022
Charlotte Wine + Food Board Chairman Palmer Steel and his wife Maria hosted a special evening of fine wine curated from his personal cellar paired with cuisine by Chef Michael Bader of Bader Catering. This private invite-only affair was a special fundraiser celebration following the completion of Charlotte Wine + Food Week presented by Truist and featured a custom 5-course menu and 10 wines.
Special thanks to David & Mary Francis for hosting the dinner at their private residence.
Featured wines included the 2008 Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé Champagne, 1983 Bodegas Vega Sicilia Unico, 2013 Bodegas Vega Sicilia Valbuena 5°, 2008 Produttori del Barbaresco Montestefano Riserva, 1978 Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, 2012 M. Chapoutier Chante-Alouette Hermitage Blanc, 2014 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru, 2016 Domaine Marquis d’Angerville Volnay 1er Cru ‘Clos des Ducs’, 2016 Maybach ‘Materium’ Cabernet Sauvignon, and the 2017 Andremily Mourvèdre.
All proceeds benefited A Child’s Place, Augustine Literacy Project, GenOne, and The Learning Collaborative.
