Vintner Dinner at Counter-
featuring Cattleya | April 26, 2022

Charlotte Wine + Food Week presented by Truist kicked off with a sold out vintner dinner at Counter- featuring the wines of Cattleya. Guests enjoyed 8 mini-courses in the style Counter- is known for, taking them on a tasting journey with Colombian-born, and French-trained winemaker Bibiana Gonzalez Rave from Sonoma’s Alma de Cattleya and Cattleya. 

Chef Sam Hart, proprietor of Counter-, and his team created a custom menu capped off with an unexpected piece of performance art plating of the finale course set to music.

Featured wines included the 2021 Alma de Cattleya Rosé of Pinot Noir, 2020 Alma de Cattleya Sauvignon Blanc, 2020 Shared Notes Les Leçons des Maîtres (Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon), 2019 Alma de Cattleya Chardonnay, 2020 Cattleya Cuvée Number Five Chardonnay, 2019 Cattleya Call to Adventure Chardonnay, 2019 Alma de Cattleya Pinot Noir, 2019 Cattleya Belly of the Whale Pinot Noir, 2013 Cattleya Single Vineyard Soberanes Syrah, an the 2019 Cattleya The Initiation Syrah.

All proceeds benefited A Child’s Place, Augustine Literacy Project, GenOne, and The Learning Collaborative.
