Charlotte Wine + Food Week presented by Truist hosted an exclusive charity vintner dinner featuring two very dynamic gentlemen of the same name - Eric. Guests enjoyed a menu created by Chef Eric Ferguson of Charlotte's hottest new restaurant, L’Ostrica, paired with wines selected by one of the wine world’s greatest figures, importer extraordinaire, Eric Solomon - Founder and Owner of Eric Solomon Selections and European Cellars. Charlotte Wine & Food Board Member and Co-founder of L’Ostrica, Cat Carter, collaborated in curating this incredible evening’s 10-course tasting menu and served as a co-host alongside Charlotte Wine & Food Board Member Jon Perry.
Featured wines included: Champagne Henri Dubois, Chandra Kurt Glou Glou Chasselas 2021, Claudy Clavien Petite Arvine Perles du Soleil 2020, Famille Descombe Chablis 2021, Soutbosch Chenin Blanc 2022, Domaine des Bosquets Gigondas Rosé 2022, Jose Gil Vino de Pueblo 2020, Clos I Terrasses Erasmus 2020, Domaine de Marcoux Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vielles Vignes 2020, and Champagne Vouette e Sorbee Saignée de Sorbée.
A pop-up auction lot for a multi-course Spanish cellar dinner curated by Jon Perry, Cat Carter, and Chef Eric Ferguson was tripled and sold for over $30,000!
All proceeds benefited A Child’s Place, Augustine Literacy Project, GenOne, and The Learning Collaborative.
