Ally Financial in partnership with Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend hosted an exceptional evening of wine and food with DLynn Proctor, winery director of Fantesca Estate & Winery, at one of Charlotte’s most-beloved and acclaimed dining destinations, The Fig Tree Restaurant.

The event included a reception and a phenomenal five-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Greg Zanitsch that featured five exceptional wines by Fantesca Estate & Winery including the Champagne Lallier NV Grand Brut Rosé, 2015 Fantesca Chardonnay, 2014 All Great Things “Hope” Red Blend, and the 2014 Fantesca Estate Cabernet Sauvignon.

Founded in 2004, Fantesca Estate & Winery is a boutique, luxury winery located on Spring Mountain in Napa Valley established by proprietors Susan Schulze Hoff and Duane Hoff. This husband and wife team are both former executives of Best Buy who helped bring the company into the height of its success. Barrett - dubbed ‘the first lady of wine’ and ‘the Queen of Cult Cabernet’ by top wine critic Robert Parker - and winery director, DLynn Proctor.

You might recognize DLynn as one of the stars of the movie ‘SOMM”, but he also holds acclaim for being named “Best Sommelier in America” by Wine and Spirits Magazine in 2008 and for an extensive and respected career within the wine industry prior to joining the team at Fantesca.

Fantesca produces just 3,000 cases annually with a lineup of wines that includes the only Chardonnay made by winemaker Heidi Barrett, as well as her only Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon—making their offerings truly one-of-a-kind.
