Everthing’s Coming Up Rosé Brunch
at Poplar Tapas Wine & Spirits | April 18, 2021
Springtime in the South means it’s time to get outdoors and think pink. Charlotte Wine + Food hosted the first-ever Rosé Brunch hosted on the beautiful patio of the historic uptown house now home to Poplar Tapas, Wine & Spirits. Guests went on a 5-course tasting journey created by guest chef Edwin Cruz of Edwin's Organix celebrating all things Rosé - from sparkling to still, classic Rosés from the south of France and modern iterations made in the New World. Americans have gone crazy for Rosé in the last decade and we are pretty sure our guests will agree that Rosé is here to stay. Pink attire in all shades was encouraged.
Featured Rosés generously provided by Winebow included the Weingut Markus Huber Sparkling Rosé NV - Traisental, Austria | 2019 Pico Maccario “Lavignone” Rosato - Piedmont, Italy | 2019 Lapostolle “Le Rosé” - Apalta and Colchagua Valleys, Chile | 2019 Inazio Urruzola Txakolina Rosé - Getariako, Spain | 2020 Château Haut-Blanville Languedoc Rosé - Languedoc, France.
All proceeds benefited GenOne, Mitchell’s Fund, The Learning Collaborative, and The Relatives.
